The Coal Shed Restaurant Brighton

The Coal Shed has been on my social media for months now, and I’m excited to finally try their food. Their dishes are very hard not to drool over as they all look so good in the pictures!

The Coal Shed is a class act. The first thing you see when entering the bar are lines of dazzling bottles, sparkling in the low light.
It’s as classy and sophisticatedly decorated with exposed wooden floors, dark hues and hanging lamps; it creates an intimate ambience that can’t be beaten!

This is a hidden gem in the Lanes. Close to the beach and lots of great places, you might miss it if not looking carefully enough!

Foodie Delight

This restaurant is a carnivore’s delight! They’ve got the best beef around with their locally sourced meat cooked on Josper grill.
You can even choose from different breeds, cuts and weights of protein all served up to your liking.

The menu has something for everyone, from the decadent Truffle Mac and Cheese to freshly picked Minted Jersey Royals. Not to mention that their beef-dripping chips are addicting!

The menu has a fresh and distinct flavour with fish landed in Brighton and Newhaven. Seasonal vegetables are locally sourced, meats that focus on high welfare is used as well.

Food for Everyone

The Coal Shed Brighton caters to all different crowds with its decadent fare. Whether you’re looking for a quick meal or an intimate evening out, this restaurant is perfect for whatever your heart desires!

Whether you prefer your beef to be cooked rare or well done, there are plenty of options on the menu for meat lovers.
All-natural Angus burgers and salt marsh lamb rump will satisfy any appetite but if fish is more up your alley try kombu cured monkfish with a side dish that includes mussels, clams and white beans!

The kids’ menu is made up of fresh ingredients in familiar dishes so your child can enjoy their favourite meal.

Plant-based diners will also enjoy a meal at The Coal Shed. Well thought out dishes that don’t play second fiddle seem to be the dish of choice for these menu items, and not only do they taste good but you can feel even better about what you are eating!

To finish off this culinary adventure enjoy some mini doughnuts dipped in molten chocolate sauce.

Sunday Meal

Sure, the Sunday roast is a British tradition. But this is Britain’s best! You can’t go wrong with half-a-kg of succulent sirloin beef that just melts in your mouth paired perfectly with classic Yorkshire pudding and lashings of gravy to share between two people.

The bar offers a range of drinks at affordable prices, with amazing cocktails and wine to make you happy. The place is worth the money!
