Bincho Yakitori

Bincho Yakitori

Bincho Yakitori Brighton

Bincho Yakitori is a tiny restaurant in Brighton that has been recognised for its authentic and cool atmosphere.
It’s located on “restaurant street” aka Preston Street, which makes it the perfect place to go if you’re looking for an experience different from your average meal out. It’s small, but it has a super cool vibe with second-hand furniture and industrial lighting that makes you feel like eating at an authentic Japanese place!

It is one of the best restaurants in Brighton.

This restaurant has a really interesting background. It is modelled on a Japanese Izakaya, which means it’s got food and drinks.
It started in London at OXO Tower before moving to Soho – then finally settling down here!

Bincho Yakitori Menu

The menu at Bincho is really exciting, and it’s mostly small plates that are meant to be shared with your friends.
You’ll get a chance to try some Japanese snacks like edamame or seaweed salads as well as dishes made with yakitori (grilled chicken) on the grill.
There will also be specials scribbled up onto the blackboard; these change every day!

One of my favourite parts about the restaurant was all the meat.
The pork belly yakitori was probably my favourite because they tasted so good and it’s one of those fatty cuts that people don’t usually eat outside restaurants, but yet you can easily go crazy on them here!
I also really like their crispy Japanese fried chicken as well as their sweet Korean wings – both got a second order for me.
And although there are plenty more dishes to try with other proteins, be sure not to miss out on any vegetable dish at this place either.
Their soft potatoes had miso butter brushed overtop which made them taste even better than usual while its seaweed salad is indeed delicious.

Drink List

You can’t have a good dinner without the right drinks and Bincho’s got it figured out.
There are craft beers like Hitachino Nest White Ale, which is infused with coriander, nutmeg, orange peel and orange juice – or you could go for some standard Japanese favourites such as Asahi beer!

Drinks are for the more adventurous. There is a variety of sakes, plum wine, and picked wines from both reds to whites.
If you want something sweeter there’s also Prosecco or champers as well Japanese whiskies with shochu! To balance it out try hojicha tea which has a palate that smoky yet nutty flavour on your tongue.

I’m always looking for new places to enjoy great food, and I found a gem in this restaurant! The ambience is nice and laid-back – the perfect place when you want something different.

Cafe Malbec

Cafe Malbec

Cafe Malbec Hove

This wine bar and Argentinian restaurant on Church Road is a great place to go if you’re looking for some Malbecs or want to try out their South American cuisine.
With its extensive knowledge of both food and drink, Cafe Malbec Hove offers an experience not found elsewhere!

The best place to get your Latin fix for soccer and food is at this restaurant.
They’ve got a full menu of South American wines, Argentine bites, screenings of the World Cup games (plus new additions), all while you enjoy their selection of Latin beers!

Wine and Lager

You can’t have a good time without wine, so stop by Cafe Malbec to enjoy one of their amazing wines! They offer various types from Argentina as well as other countries.
They are known for their high-quality wines, especially the blush. The Vicente Blanc de Malbec has a pink tint to it and tastes great with warm weather or paired up with cheese before moving onto red wine.

They also offer Estrella Galicia. It is the perfect beer to enjoy at a BBQ because it pairs well with food. It has an interesting flavour that doesn’t overpower, but complements your meal instead!

Whether you’d like to take home some or stay and drink it with friends at the cafe, they’re sure not disappointing.

Authentic Empanadas of Cafe Malbec

Pinch yourself. The Argentinian deli items will make you forget about the traditional English fare and take your taste buds on a trip to South America with their delicious empanadas that come in flavours such as spicy beef, chicken or provolone cheese.
These are too good for words so be sure to try one today – it’s worth every calorie because they’ll melt right off of your tongue like butter (literally)!
Plus there is also their charcuterie board featuring Gran Picada Argentina – a mix of cheeses and cured meats along with other mouth-watering delicacies from across South American countries like Bolivia & Peru.

Delightful Tapas

Tapas, a perfect appetizer food. We tried four to share and our choice was just right because each one took only minutes to arrive so you can order more if desired.
The portion sizes are generous enough that they’re easy for groups of friends or family members to enjoy too!

Try Argentine chorizo in Malbec sauce with your group the next time you go out for tapas!
Different from typical spicy red Spanish sausage, this dish is smoother and juicier than others on the menu- it’s like having an ordinary meaty sausage without as much spice but still plenty flavorful.

Tempting Desserts

It was tough to resist the desserts when we saw them in front of us. We indulged in a ‘Rogel,’ which is a layered pastry tower with gooey meringue and dulce de leche inside.
We also ordered cake pops, where there’s actually layers of chocolate cake mixture into it but then covered by frosting!
The fun part about this dessert is you can either pour Baileys over or shoot it into your mouth for some added flavour if that tickles your fancy.”

Whether you fancy a glass of top-quality wine with snacks, an evening of Argentine grazing food, or just want to relax and watch the football match at Cafe Malbec.
Our night out was quite a culinary journey as we tried different dishes that had new flavours!

The evening at Cafe Malbec was an exciting culinary journey. We could not have asked for anything better!

Kujira

Kujira

Kujira Brighton

Kujira is a gorgeous restaurant with artsy touches that offers guests modern efficiency and high-quality food without compromising its soulfulness.
The design of the place is sleek, spacious, and perfect for small parties or large groups alike.

The powerful black and gold decor is the first thing I notice when walking into this restaurant.

There’s plenty of space because of all that glass, which allows for natural light to flow in without emitting any overly formal atmosphere.
The kitchen has an open plan design where you can see how these folks make magic happen daily!

Japanese Cuisine

You would be hard-pressed to find a Japanese restaurant in Brighton that doesn’t serve sushi.
But if you’re looking for something new, try Kujira Brighton; it’s the latest robatayaki grill restaurant on the scene and offers an intense flavour profile unlike any other dish at your local izakaya!

The only thing better than biting into chunks of juicy meat cooked over charcoal is knowing they’ll taste even more amazing with some sesame sauce or wasabi mayo – don’t forget those essential sauces when ordering from this gem of a spot!

The menu at Kujira Brighton is divided into Kobachi, small bowls or starters, salads and robata.

The small plates provide an excellent opportunity for newcomers to this Japanese speciality to try several dishes tapas-style.
There are also many vegan-friendly options as well if you’re looking for a night out with friends who have dietary restrictions!

Izakaya bar

Kujira Brighton is the perfect place to go after work for a drink and some food. This izakaya bar offers Japanese-inspired cocktails created by their mixologist, with ingredients like plants, juices or syrups that they make themselves!

I love being able to have a night out on the town that is still affordable and delicious.
I get so tired of all these trendy restaurants with an inflated price tag just for one dish, but Kujira has changed my perspective!
They don’t serve any single dishes at astronomical prices- instead, you can enjoy their whole menu without breaking your bank account.
Plus they’re very accommodating when it comes to food allergies too which makes me feel much safer about dining there in case something happens again like last time…

It has good food, nostalgia and an efficient business model that will never go out of style which is the best thing about this restaurant!
The only problem I have with them is how easy they make all their hard work look-as if you could just come in there, eat some delicious sushi on rice or sashimi served atop cucumbers and seaweed then leave feeling completely satisfied without any effort whatsoever.

Market Restaurant

Market Restaurant

Market Restaurant Bar

Get ready to be amazed, because once you walk into Market Restaurant it’s hard not to notice the Victorian green metro tiled walls.
Once inside, you’ll find more of those same bold colours and mesmerizing lights that will make your eyes feel like they’re in a dreamland!
The inside of Market Restaurant is like a time capsule from the 80s with its green metro tiled walls, bevelled mirrors and fluorescent lights.

The best seat is up at the high-top bar so don’t forget about this incredible view while watching chefs prepare delicious food!

Traditional Market Look

The Spanish-inspired design of the restaurant will make you feel as if you are in a market.
You’ll get to enjoy fresh, modern cuisine from the chef’s counter while getting entertained by chefs who have designed their food with care and attention that gives this space its traditional feel-though it is very much not old fashioned!

The restaurant is dominated by a long counter where diners can watch the chefs create their meals. This design also features an array of hanging cured hams as decoration.

Great for Sharing

The selection of food is designed to be shared among two people. From small plates (tapas) to mini-plates and smaller portions, the menu has something for everyone!

The selection of meats and cheeses is mouthwatering! From the hanging Jamons (hams) to a wide range available for all dietary requirements, it’s easy enough to leave here feeling satisfied.

Awesome Spanish Meal

The waiter brings out our two beautifully fried croquettes. They’re crispy on the outside and soft in-between, with a cheesy ham centre that’s bound to make your mouth water!
Next up is an appetizing plate of olives drizzled with pesto sauce – let me tell you these little green treats are surprisingly delicious!
And finally, we have one of my favourite plates ever: grilled lamb rib chips served alongside some tangy coleslaw which I will be dreaming about for days afterwards.

The broccoli with crispy kale, tahini and pumpkin seeds came out next. I love how the firmness of the broccoli complimented by smooth tahini paste makes for a delicious dish!
But, what makes this meal special are those crispy kale leaves that dissolve in your mouth without a trace of bitterness or a heavy texture.

Have you ever ordered mussels with chorizo and cheese? Of course, we all know that there is no cheese in it.
However, the sauce has us pleasantly baffled as it’s creamy and tangy from the delicious sausage making for a spectacular dish!
We recommend ordering skinny fries or truffle duck fat chips on the side – they come together to create one of our favourite dishes here.

Market’s Wine List

The Market has a wide selection of Spanish wines, which is perfect for pairing with their food.
There are also locally brewed beers as well to choose from! We’ve found the Padron My French cocktail and Chartreuse mixed into it surprisingly refreshing after tasting some local brews.

Every dish is a celebration of culture and ingenuity. The menu changes depending on the season to accommodate new items that are available in each region, so there’s always something fresh up your sleeve!
If you’re an adventurous eater then this place was made just for you. Every item on their eclectic menu reflects different travels around the world with dishes spanning all sorts of cultures.

Pompoko

Pompoko

Pompoko Brighton

It’s not often that you’ll find Pompoko Brighton in a quiet moment.

Whether it be for dine-in or takeout, the Japanese restaurant can satisfy any craving with their simple dishes and wide range of flavours – all at incredible prices!

One of Brighton’s best Japanese restaurants, Pompoko, serves some of the best cuisines and has a great atmosphere.
You can find anything from sushi to ramen on their menu with a very diverse crowd always coming through the door!
The best part is that you have the option of bringing your wine or beer which makes it great for those who are looking to save some money while tasting all these delicious flavours- like me!

Fantastic Japanese Food

The food at Pompoko is uniquely Japanese and cooked fresh to order. You don’t have to wait more than fifteen minutes for your dish no matter how big the group you’re with!
The menu consists of 10 small appetizer dishes, traditional curry rice meals and noodle options like Yakisoba or Yakimeshi Rice Dishes.
All mains come served up with a meat option, fish or veggie side – so there’s something everyone can enjoy!

Pompoko is the perfect place for a group outing or a quick lunch with your friends.
The busy atmosphere allows you to have great conversation while enjoying some amazing food, like their chicken dish Tori Chili Don- with a tangy sauce that will make any meat lover’s mouth water!
You can also try out one of their noodle/rice dishes if fried rice isn’t quite enough for you.

Bring-Your-Own drinks!

I love getting the chance to drink my favourite wine at dinner. I’m always a little bummed when restaurants don’t let you bring your bottle of booze, but Pompoko lets me do that!
You can even get Japanese tea if it’s not too cold outside.

Pompoko is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. It’s perfect for people who are looking to try something different because of its low price and cosy layout that makes it easy for anyone on the go!
We love how laid back Pompoko feels. The food tastes great with simple ingredients but yummy flavours; our favourite part about this place? There’s always someone around when we need help from the staff!
