The Regency

The Regency

The Regency Restaurant

Brighton’s iconic Regency Restaurant serves up the freshest seafood with a side of history.

This restaurant has been serving fresh fish since the 1930s, making it one of Brighton’s longest-running restaurants in terms of longevity and popularity.
This establishment will transport you back to another era as soon as you walk through the door–the décor hasn’t changed much over time and neither have their favourite dishes!

This popular restaurant is ever-present on Brighton’s seafront and fans love the simple uncomplicated fare.

With its cheerful atmosphere, generous portions, and reasonable prices it’s no wonder that this lively bistro has won a national award!

You’ll want to make your way down the coast for a taste of their seafood dishes. Try some mouthwatering morsels from their menu while you admire stunning views of the English Channel and i360 features like never before!

Fish and Seafood Menu

As soon as you step into The Regency, the fresh scent of seafood fills your nose and says “This is where I want to be.”
At this inviting restaurant, savoury dishes are made from ingredients that come straight off their daily catch. And if it’s deliciousness at a great price that interests you most-you’ll find them here too!

The menu features a wide variety of seafood dishes, most with chips and salad on the side.

Our waiter was very attentive and made recommendations that were spot on. I especially enjoyed the moules mariniere, deep-fried whitebait, mackerel pate, and baked oysters! These starters around our table all got rave reviews from my friends as well.

I ordered the Grilled Skate with Capers and it was a game of contrasts. A fish that is firm on the outside yet soft in its centre, can be hard to find for those who enjoy their meal cooked more thoroughly but this dish managed that beautifully.

You’re going to be getting the best of everything, and you don’t have to worry about not being able to make up your mind.
You’ll find whatever seafood dish that will suit your fancy on their menu from raw oysters through grilled lobster or fried shrimp platters.

This family-run business just wants to give patrons an opportunity for some peace in their day as they indulge themselves in traditional dishes like pad thai noodles or red curry served over rice.

When you enter Sabai, the first thing that will catch your eye is all of the wood in this unique restaurant.
You feel like a true guest when enjoying one of their famous cocktails or dining on Thai fusion dishes in an intimate setting – it’s perfect for date night!

Awesome Thai Menu

The menu at Sabai Thai Brighton is a rich tapestry of all the flavours and textures you can love.
They make sure to have a menu for everyone, with options like vegetarian and vegan dishes alongside their classics such as Pad Thai or Tom Yum Soup.
They pride themselves on serving authentic ingredients from Thailand to create the best flavours possible!

You might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all these choices, but don’t worry because they have regional set menus that will make it easy for you.

We opt for the dumplings. The plump little parcels stuffed with chicken, shrimp and Thai herbs are great! They’re served in a salty-sweet soy sauce; it makes them one of our favourite dishes so far!

Our main course is a succulent red chicken curry, which is both delicate in taste and beautiful to look at.
With our coconut cream-covered rice and al dente vegetables on top, we feel like royalty. They’re so tender yet so hearty, we love ’em!

It’s no easy task to choose which of the sweet, sticky and creamy puddings you want. The puddings list is huge and filled with all sorts of delicious desserts.

You can find deep-fried ice creams, bananas, sweet sticky rice or chocolate fudge cake on the menu!

The Watershed

The Watershed

The Watershed Brighton

Brighton Marina is the place to be for locals and visitors alike, with its latest attraction – The Watershed.
With unique venues like this one, Brighton has become a hub of creativity that people from all over are flocking towards.

The newest venue on Brighton’s marina isn’t your typical water-side nightclub. This site was created for those who love good music and those who love great views of both sunset and sunrise.

You’ll never want to go anywhere else when you find this hidden gem. It is best just to take the boardwalk past all those chain restaurants and follow the path down towards the Western Jetty.
It extends into the outer harbour. You have to see this for yourself!

The view is incredibly scenic with yachts and sailboats moored in the harbour. The food, drinks, and service are all excellent for a quick escape from Brighton’s centre bustle.

Deliciously Made Meals

The food menu is a great mix of casual classics and seafood. From burgers to fish and chips, you’ll find your favourite comfort foods on the menu alongside organic produce from local farms for those who want to keep things healthy.
If it’s something sweet that catches your eye, be sure not to miss out on their freshly made desserts!

If you happen to be in the mood for seafood, then this is a great spot. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of vegetarian and vegan options as well!

The Sunday roast is always perfect when you want to spend time catching up on things over lunch or dinner after a busy week of work.
The restaurant has high chairs available if your little ones would like some help eating too so they can enjoy it just as much as everyone else in the group without making any messes while trying to feed themselves unassisted by mommy’s hand (or dad’s).

It’s not hard to see why this place is the talk of the town. With a menu that changes seasonally and an all-day dining format, what more could you want?
The views are as stunning as they come with gorgeous water vistas on one side and panoramic cityscapes in front of your face – so whether it be for a business lunch or just drinks at night; whatever meal time suits you best, there will always be something available from their mouthwatering selection!

The Watershed Bar

The bar smells like the best thing you can imagine! It’s stocked with plenty of choices including local craft beers and national and international brands in addition to wines and spirits that are sure to please anyone who comes into this place.
The regulars all have their favourites but one comment stands out among many: “Rum is my favourite.”

Moshimo

Moshimo

Moshimo Brighton

As far as sushi in Brighton is concerned, there is only one really good option for most of the city’s residents.
Moshimo Brighton has been a premier spot for foodies and locals alike with their authentic dishes that offer an immersive experience while tasting like you’re dining on traditional Japanese cuisine.

Everything about this restaurant screams perfection.

If you’re looking for a place to have sushi in Brighton, Moshimo should be at the top of your list.
The restaurant is elegantly designed and doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard – which makes sense because they also offer traditional Japanese dishes that are just as good! Plus they have a sustainable seafood menu and plant-based options that better suit your tastes.

Japanese Food

Moshimo serves a great selection of sushi which winds around the restaurant. It’s easy to grab plates at your leisure, and there is also an à la carte menu with hot dishes if you want something fancier!
They offer both platters of various fish and rolls with cream cheese or other creative ingredients that range from vegetarian maki to smoked salmon nigiri topped with soy sauce and wasabi!

There’s not just sushi on offer, though! Moshimo has a range of kozara – Japanese tapas-style dishes.
Some are their finest and most creative food in my opinion: ika squid karage that is fried until crispy with cornflour then covered in sweet and spicy chilli sauce or the cod cheek tempura which is wrapped up delicately but still light enough to fly away because it’s a batter made from so little flour.

If you’re looking for a sushi restaurant that has something to offer the vegan and vegetarian crowd, Moshimo’s got your back.
It offers an outstanding selection of meat-free dishes in addition to fish-based options–all equally as appealing!
If Wednesdays are hump day, then there’s nothing better than 50% off all vegan food selections on top of their regular menu which includes plant-based specials such as spicy mushroom gunkan and California maki with delicious ‘prawn’ alternatives.

Japanese Beverages

Moshimo is your go-to if you’re looking for some Japanese beers, Sencha teas or sake. If that’s not what you fancy then Moshimo also has wine and cocktails with a Japanese twist!

Fishlove Campaign- Sustainability

It’s no secret that Moshimo is one of the most sustainable restaurants in Europe.
The first step they took all those years ago was to only use non-endangered fish, and now through their Fish Love campaign, they’re highlighting the dangers of overfishing at a European level.
It doesn’t stop there though – with organic prawns from Sussex producers and sustainably farmed salmon on offer as well, it seems like every dish you order will be good for your health too!

Love for Desserts

The dessert menu is so appealing and delicious. You could eat until you are bursting if it weren’t for the constraints of our clothes!
We can choose from a variety of desserts, like Chocolate Trifle or Mochi Rice Cakes but I love Tempura Ice Cream too – those cakes look amazing with ice cream rolled in layers inside Madeira cake batter then coated in tempura batter…

Visit Moshimo and Enjoy!

The relaxed and surreal atmosphere of Moshimo makes it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. You can dine with your hands, drink from bowls, and eat delicious finger food!

You know what they say, if you’ve fallen in love with Moshimo it’s no surprise. Why not try for yourself and fall head over heels at our Brighton favourite?

Regency Tavern

Regency Tavern

Regency Tavern Brighton

You never know what you might find at Regency Tavern. When I showed up on a Wednesday night, it was wild – but in a good way! People were singing and dancing around the tables as well as shaking their moneymakers to loud music all over the place. It’s so refreshing for me to see such excitement and joy when we’re stuck with nothing else but raindrops here most days of the week!

You are greeted by a fantasy world of silk and gold once you enter the Regency Tavern. There’s live music for your listening pleasure. The surroundings are so extravagant that even if it were in an alternate universe this is where I would want my wedding reception!

Regency Tavern is the one pub you’ll want to be seen at. The baroque decor at this restaurant makes it some of the most dazzling in Brighton. Whether it’s pink piano upholstery or leopard print furniture with gold chandeliers, it’s quite unlike any other establishment we’ve ever been to before.

And if you’re hungry or thirsty be sure not to miss out on their great food and drink!

Lively Weekdays

The Regency Tavern has a friendly atmosphere and offers all sorts of fun activities. You can eat, drink, or just hang out with friends while listening to live music on nights after work!

This is the perfect place to enjoy a bite and drink any day of the week. With specials like Pie & Mash Mondays, Burger and Beer deals, Friday Fish Fry Nights, live music throughout the weekend with open mic nights every night – there’s never been such an entertaining time for foodies in need!

Sunday Roast

There’s a menu of three courses with local delicacies at the Regency. Among the main attractions are classic roast chicken, pork belly and beef, with gluten-free and vegan pie options from Pie Minster. You’ll get a delicious roast accompanied by seasonal veggies, potatoes, Yorkie (pork sausage) and an abundance of rich gravy that will delight the taste buds!

Great service! A fun and enjoyable time. We loved it here, we’ll be back soon for sure.

Trading Post Coffee

Trading Post Coffee

Trading Post Coffee Brighton

Trading Post Coffee Brighton is a stylish coffee shop where you can enjoy what only the best Italian roasters have to offer. With shops in some of the most popular locations, Trading Post has become one of Brighton’s go-to places for that morning cup o’ joe!

The coffee shop opened in 2017 and since then have become one of the most established coffee venues for a day out with friends, or even just to sit down by yourself. The staff is always kind and there’s good music playing at all times so you never feel alone here!

Coffee Choices

Trading Post Coffee is all about making sure that their coffee is organic, sustainable, fair-trade and of the highest quality. They pride themselves on using a unique roasting technique to achieve this goal.

The latte came served in a Picardie style tumbler glass. I could tell it was bitter on its own, but once adding sugar it became smoother and more enjoyable – not to mention fairly strong too!

If you’re living dairy-free, don’t worry because there are three vegan milk options available: soy, oat or almond milk. This place has them all for your picking pleasure!

Fresh Food Menu

Trading Post is your one-stop shop for all of your coffee needs, whether it’s a morning brew or an afternoon pick me up. They also have the freshest food menu around that uses locally sourced and organic ingredients to give you more bang for your buck! You can enjoy breakfast in their dining area with friends on weekends as well if you’re not feeling like cooking at home this weekend.

The cafe’s chef does an excellent job with the sandwiches, pancakes, bacon and raita. They have a great selection of blueberry muffins for those who are hungry as well!

There are a plethora of options for the meat-lover and vegan alike. The Bacon & Avocado Eggs Benedict was particularly delectable, with traditional American breakfast fare transformed into something special by adding fresh avocado to an already delicious dish.

This is the perfect spot for anyone who wants to enjoy great food, work on their side hustle or finish an assignment while they wait for a table.

I found the vegan options at this cafe to be delightful, and I can’t wait to try more of their menu.

The free WiFi is perfect for students looking for a study spot or an escape from work – it’s even better when you need some time away from home life!

The Walrus

The Walrus

The Walrus Pub

The Walrus Brighton has just done something special and unique by reviving an old, classic pub.

The pub is rather interesting; it features a restaurant on the first floor with tables that can be used for those who want to eat in private or keep their conversations going uninterrupted while they dine.
The second level of the building houses both a roof garden/bar as well as what I presume must be some sort of concert venue because you could hear music coming from there when we arrived! It’s all so cool!

The Menu

This place is the perfect weekend getaway for those looking to explore new dishes, soak up some sun with a pint of cold beer and share good times.

The menu has a wide variety of dishes, including pub classics such as burgers and pizza to more modern British fare like fish n chips or chicken curry.
If you need some Sunday brunch then I recommend their roast dinner! Not only are there plenty of options on both sides but they have them at prices that won’t break your bank account either!

The starter was a lot of food, and we loved the potted beef. The scotch eggs were also fantastic because they had chorizo and haggis, instead of sausage meat, which made them even better!

The next dish, rump steak with chips and green beans was my favourite. Firstly I loved the crispiness of both sides and how they contrasted each other so much in texture which made for a very satisfying mouthfeel.
And secondly, the flavours were outstanding – it’s hard to go wrong when you’ve got beef on one side, salt & pepper seasoning mixed into potatoes on another AND that delicious sauce too!

The desserts were the highlight of my night out. Baked Alaska was surprisingly light for a dessert that looks like it should be heavy, and I loved hearing about how they make their brownies from scratch in house!

Nice, Relaxing Pub

The Walrus pub is a beautiful venue that manages to be intimate and cosy. You can find booths, snugs, as well as Victorian styled décor with an open fire for those cold nights.
They have everything from classic beers to modern drinks at the bar thanks to their wide variety of options!

You will never want to leave this place. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out that includes some great pub food and drinks with friends, plus it’s the type of venue you can go into without feeling too dressed up.

I’ve got to say, I’m impressed with this place. The food is great and the decor’s fabulous! And even better – they have such a friendly staff working here too. They’re all so nice and helpful- it’ll be hard not to come back soon…

Cherry Tree Cafe

Cherry Tree Cafe

Cherry Tree Cafe

What’s not to love about a day at the Cherry Tree Cafe in Brighton Marina? The atmosphere is inviting and warm, but also offers plenty of outdoor seating overlooking beautiful views.
Foodies will be happy with their variety of breakfast, brunch or lunch options served away from all that hustle of downtown.

Now, this is what I call a good spot to spend the day! This welcoming café on the corner of Piazza greets us with coffee, fresh bread and a comforting smell.

The expansive terrace is perfect for parents to enjoy their morning coffee while watching over their kids who are frolicking on this beautiful summer day!

The Menu

Enjoy a delicious breakfast to get you started. The owners have created an exciting breakfast menu that is full of classics cooked with precision and care.
You’ll find savoury snacks, as well as beautiful salads made fresh daily at this café!

The menu includes some more mouthwatering dishes! Halloumi and sun-blushed tomatoes with almond pesto, or homemade granola. The fresh fruit topping will have you bursting at the seams!

I ordered the French toast, covered with bacon and maple syrup. The full English breakfast looked really good too but the choice of french toast made me want it more than anything else on the menu.

If you’ve got little ones with a hearty appetite then this is the perfect place for them to enjoy breakfast too!
If your kids love eggs Benedict like mine do then order it on toast or as an omelette so that the yolk can still be runny but not liquidy when served up in front of them – it’s worth every penny!

Vegan and Gluten-free Food

They make all of their delicious cakes on-site, and they have some gluten-free vegan variants too! They also buy bread from The Flour Pot Bakery.
Their coffee is supplied by Small Batch- it’s not easy to find good quality beans these days but Brighton people are lucky that there’s always a cup waiting for them at the end of every day.

The view from inside the restaurant was as beautiful and magical as we imagined it would be.
Huge windows on both sides of The Cherry Tree gave us a perfect vantage point to take in our surroundings while enjoying scrumptious food. Our kids loved tasting delicacies that they haven’t had before, all within an adorable perfect setting!

This is the perfect place for parents to bring their kids and have a family day out! Bring your little ones here, they’ll love it.
They will be able to see boats around in an open space, with tables that are always available as well as outdoor play areas where you can let them run wild without any worries at all; not only does this give adults some time off but children also get enough exercise so everyone’s happy.

Coppa Club

Coppa Club

Coppa Club Brighton

You’ll love Coppa Club Brighton’s trendy décor and elegant atmosphere. This is the perfect place to kick back with friends for a long lazy lunch or book out their stylish bar area for an evening of cocktails.
You can also enjoy some great food in one of the many luxurious indoor spaces – they have everything from exquisite brunches to late-night pizzas!

Essentially, they want to create a place where you can go at any point during the day and enjoy some coffee or food.
There are plenty of lounge areas where you can enjoy a coffee or cocktail in a more relaxed setting. I guarantee you will truly believe that your favourite spot is yours “all day”!

The Food

The menu is casual and features European cuisine. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy small plates as well as grilled dishes.

Pizza selections are also available for a hearty meal that’s easy on the waistline!

For starters: You won’t be able to resist nibbles like olives or almonds and chorizo sausages despite being stuffed full already by delicious food at your table – so go easy on these if you can help yourself!
For a starter though there are plenty more options than just those as well- like crispy squid (which is awesome!)

When they offered crab linguini with chilli and cherry tomatoes, not only did it meet my expectations but exceeded them!
The noodles were cooked just right – soft yet firm enough to hold up against all those bold flavours.

My dining partner loved the vegetarian burger, with beetroot, quinoa, chickpeas and coriander patty- so much that I had to order another one! The skinny fries were perfect for dipping in ketchup.

I was so stuffed after all that great food, but he insisted on ordering dessert. I went for the pie and my date wanted something gooey like brownies or ice cream.
In the end, we split a piece of our favourite flavour–chocolate with cashews in it!

Fully Licensed Bar

No one is ever bored when visiting the Coppa Club. They have a wide variety of options that will satisfy any palate, from their soft drinks to sparkling wines or cocktails for those looking for something more indulgent.

If you’re in the mood for a light, fruity wine to drink with your date or friends, then I would recommend checking out this restaurant. They have some really good wines on their menu and they all taste delicious!

I had a wonderful Italian Sauvignon Blanc while my partner enjoyed a Viognier. Both wines were amazing, but if you’re in the mood for something sweeter then try one of their cocktails like Stroppy Cow which is delicious and refreshing.
